We are looking for a number of Analysts/Senior Analysts to join our dynamic value and access consultancy team. This is an ideal position for someone looking to develop their career in life sciences or a graduate seeking their first role in value and access. Key skills must include a strong research and analytical mind with an undergraduate degree or higher in life sciences. Job purpose
This is a key role supporting the Lightning Health consultancy team to conduct secondary research, facilitate primary research programmes, and develop presentations, and client deliverables under the guidance of senior team members.
Main responsibilities
Overall support with project delivery and support in the execution of successful projects in areas of:
- Value and access strategy
- Pricing and reimbursement
- Commercial due diligence
- Opportunity evaluation
Delivery of secondary research programmes
- Follow standard procedures to undertake secondary research; understand and utilise all available data sources efficiently; make recommendations for new sources; gather and analyse data; identify and design appropriate methods of research
Delivery of primary research programmes and coordination and delivery of primary research including:
- Organising primary research programmes (conducted through our digital research platform, telephone interviews or face-to-face meetings) with payers, KOLs and other relevant stakeholders
- Assist with the design of structured questionnaires/ discussion guides for use in primary research
- Assist with the ongoing recruitment of stakeholder groups to provide relevant insights across global healthcare systems
Consistent delivery of high-quality work
- Execute tasks to a client-ready standard, ensuring that all data is accurate and consistent, and any inconsistencies are flagged up to the project manager
- Depending on the candidate’s experience, this role can be at Analyst or Senior Analyst level
Maintain high standards of professional communication
- Proactively communicate with colleagues ensuring mutual exchange of information
- Demonstrate appropriate professional communication (verbal and written) with clients and research participants at all times
Maintain high standards of time and resource management
Manage own time and prioritise workload effectively by:
- Effective use of any project management tools/software in operation by Lightning Health
- Develop a realistic awareness of time required to complete specific tasks
- Meet any agreed deadlines for project deliverables
- Effectively communicate any potential challenges with prescribed deadlines, and work with project managers to identify solutions for ensuring timely completion of deliverables
Skills and qualifications
- Graduate (ideally in Life Sciences)
- A strong desire to work in a strategic healthcare consultancy
- Prepared to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational, writing and planning skills
- A collaborative team member
- Ability to identify core issues and create solutions
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Flexibility and willingness to travel if necessary
- A positive work ethic and a “can-do” attitude
- Language skills – not essential but desirable
